Presbyterian Women of St. Andrew's

If you are female and a member of St. Andrew's then you are a member of Presbyterian Women, where are you???? We've been expecting you!!! We meet at noon on the First Thursday of each month, Sept. through December, then skip January and meet again from February through June.

At our meetings we have lunch, potluck, with the hostesses providing the dessert and, like all Presbyterian Women, we are wonderful cooks! We have a program at each meeting. In the past we have had book reviews, Kitchen Band from another church, an artist, a travel talk, a woman speaker who practices the Islam Religion that included a question and answer session. Very Good Program! And this year our first speaker was Jane Looney, the principal from Phillips Elementary School.

We also do work to benefit others: when Ms. Looney came we sent her back to school with not less than 75 pounds of school supplies - she was happy! We support our Missionary in Malawi, Debby Chase, with money and other articles they need. We donate to the Presbyterian Church world-wide program. We do not just "meet and eat", we do many activities to help others. There is no charge involved but each person is asked to serve as hostess once a year along with another Presbyterian Woman.
