Lord God Almighty! Early in the morning our song shall rise to Thee; Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty! God in three Persons, blessed Trinity. ONE: I put my trust in your mercy; O God, my heart is joyful because of your saving help. ALL: We will sing to the Lord, for God has dealt with us richly; We will praise the name of God Most High. ONE: Let us worship God. *HYMN 483 “Sing Praise to God, Who Reigns Above” *PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE OF PARDON O God, have mercy upon us as You hear our confession. We are prone to do work to earn your favor and grace. You have taught us that Jesus is the source of salvation, yet we unceasingly strive to save our own souls. Time becomes an encumbrance when there is so much to do. We scarcely have strength to accomplish demands. Teach us again of our acceptance in Jesus, and release us from bondage to our own striving for perfection. *SILENT PRAYER *ASSURANCE OF GOD’S PARDON *GLORIA PATRI (Hymn 579) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen. PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE AND THE LORD’S PRAYER (Page 16, Traditional) Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.
