ALL:  (Hymn 118, verse 3)  Now let the heavens be joyful, Let earth the song begin, Let the round world keep triumph, And all that is there in; Let all things seen and unseen Their notes of gladness blend, For Christ the Lord is risen, Our joy that hath no end.

ONE:  Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth!  Break forth into joyous song!

O God of Life, Your name is praised even with the roar of the sea.  Waves pounding the shore remind us of Your presence.  By Your creative design birds fly, fish swim, creatures in the forest and meadows leap and run.  All creation chants in praise of Life.  As you make our joy complete in the gift of Your Son, we turn our hearts, hands, and voices to You in songs of glad adoration.

In life and in death we belong to God.  Through the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit, we trust in the one triune God, the Holy One of Israel , whom alone we worship and serve.  We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God, [who] proclaimed the reign of God.  We trust in God, whom Jesus called Abba, Father.  In sovereign love God created the world good and makes everyone equally in God’s image.  We trust in the Holy Spirit, everywhere the giver and renewer of life.  With believers in every time and place, we rejoice that nothing in life or in death can separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
