ST. ANDREW'S PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH

WE WELCOME YOU TO OUR SERVICE OF WORSHIP THIS MORNING

St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church lives to celebrate God’s love through worship, seek God’s truth through education, and share God’s gifts through mission and fellowship. We encourage you to join us in the Fellowship Hall for a time of coffee, cookies and fellowship following the morning service. All who profess Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior are welcome to join St. Andrew's. If you have no church home, we invite you to consider uniting with us as we seek to faithfully serve our Lord.  Speak to an usher or the Pastor at the close of the service to learn more.

Greeters:  Kathie and Mike Bolick

Acolyte:  Spencer Schnoor

*CALL TO WORSHIP

ALL: (Hymn 40, verse 1)  Joy to the World! the Lord is come: Let earth receive her King: Let every heart prepare Him room, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven and nature sing, And heaven and heaven and nature sing.

ONE: Look to the Lord!  Pay attention to God!

ALL: We will give God the glory that comes from God’s Holy Name; we will worship God with words and songs and music.

ONE: The voice of God is powerful; the voice of the Lord is full of strength.

ALL: May God give us strength; may God give us peace!

ONE: Let us worship God!                                                  (From Psalm 29)

*HYMN  288            “I Sing the Mighty Power of God”

*PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE OF PARDON

We come as Your baptized believers, O God, and yet we know we do not always act as if we believed.  You send us Your Spirit, yet we do not live Spirit-filled lives; You set us apart as water is poured over us, yet our behavior does not match our unique status.  Evidence of Your goodness surrounds us, yet we ignore Your gracious ways.  Have mercy upon us, and uphold us in Your love.  Above all, teach us the meaning of repentance!

        *SILENT PRAYER

        *ASSURANCE OF GOD’S PARDON

      *GLORIA PATRI (Hymn 579)

Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost;

As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be.

World without end! Amen, Amen.
