Shout Hosanna! Celebrate this day of days! Christ is Risen! Hush in wonder: All creation is amazed. In the desert all surrounding, See, a spreading tree has grown. Healing leaves of grace abounding Bring a taste of love unknown. ONE: Call on the name of the Lord in praise; Make known God’s deeds among the nations! ALL: Sing to God with joyful songs; tell of God’s wonderful deeds! Let us worship God! *HYMN 288 “I Sing the Mighty Power of God” *PRAYER OF CONFESSION AND ASSURANCE OF PARDON O Lord our God, we confess to You that we have failed to be the men and women you meant us to be. When duty has called we have shirked it, and we have defended ourselves with excuses which did not convince us, let alone deceive You. We are sorry for our failure, which has hurt ourselves as well as others, and we resolve to put right what can be put right.
