Melt the clouds of sin and sadness; Drive the gloom of doubt away; Giver of immortal gladness, fill us with the light of day. ONE: We give thanks to God for steadfast love and faithfulness! Help us to use our lives in a way that reflects the love He had for all people, for it is in Him that we live and move and have our being. *SILENT PRAYER *ASSURANCE OF GOD’S PARDON *GLORIA PATRI (Hymn 579) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be. We trust in Jesus Christ, fully human, fully God, [who] proclaimed the reign of God. We trust in God, whom Jesus called Abba, Father. In sovereign love God created the world good and makes everyone equally in God’s image. We trust in the Holy Spirit, everywhere the giver and renewer of life.
